About ChainPrompt

ChainPrompt is a local-first tool for composing and running LLM workflows entirely in your browser. There’s no backend: your text and API key never leave your device. You bring your own OpenAI key.

Key Principles

• Privacy by design: data is processed client-side and stored in localStorage.
• Transparency: clear prompts, explicit model selection, no hidden requests.
• Composability: save, import, and share JSON workflows.
• No lock-in: no account needed; deploy anywhere (e.g., Vercel).

How it works

You create a pipeline of steps (e.g., Summarize → Rewrite → Expand). Each step sends a single request to the LLM using your API key from your device to the model provider’s API. ChainPrompt never proxies or stores your key.
